Peer Support and Counselling

Sharing the emotional process that often comes with a new diagnosis or living with a neurologic condition with someone who has also experienced these feelings, can be helpful to many families. It is said that a parent with a special needs child also has special needs. The shock, anger and grief that comes with an ND diagnosis can be crippling for many individuals and families, leaving them with a feeling of aloneness. Finding a group of people with whom one can identify brings a sense of belonging and comfort.

Our community of parents and caregivers (I’m AAN) is a platform for networking, sharing ideas and providing emotional support. Our periodic events are a break from the hectic schedules that families in this space have, with lots of fun for the children to enjoy.

Contact us and find out how you too can be AAN.
